About The Designer

Susan Wilson Sea Glass Jewelry Designer

Spending her childhood summers beach combing for sea glass across the English shores of Bexhill on Sea and across the pond along the New England beaches of Cape Cod, Susan's love of sea glass collecting developed into a cottage industry. At a young age she studied at the Artist Guild in Falmouth on Cape Cod, learning silversmith techniques from local artists. She built on these skills and combined her love of "the hunt" with her growing skill as a silversmith and began to create custom jewelry designs. She founded Liliana Designs - Sea Glass Jewelry to seal her comitment to her growing jewelry business and began to build an online presence. The company name, Liliana Designs, was born with the help of her children -- Lily and Anna -- who have shared Susan's love of combing the beaches, often finding the perfect rare sea glass pieces and coveted sea glass marbles.

Susan now works out of her studio located in the beautiful coastal town of Scituate in the historic cultural center, Scituate Harbor, MA. Her jewelry is sold online and at the brick and mortar location, 132 Front Street, in Scituate Harbor's artist cooperative retail shop, "Expressions." When the weather cooperates you will find Susan kayaking along the Eastern shores hunting for sea glass or walking the local beaches picking up these treasures with family and friends.

Susan's designs are simple and elegant as she strives to show off the lovely and unique quality of each piece of frosty, surf tumbled glass. Shapes, sizes and subtle color differences are to be expected with all genuine sea glass that is naturally tumbled and hand collected and one-of-a-kind.

Susan's career has continued along a path less traveled. She produced television and radio programs for PBS and NPR in California. In Massachusetts Susan worked to create better access to public health information and health resources, building online, local and regional tools for the state. She is a web designer and photographer and has traveled extensively. Susan attended Boston University, California College of Arts and SFSU and earned a B.A. and M.Ed.
